Weather Update: The Crystal Ball Says…

Date: Tuesday, February 10th, 2026

Hold onto your hats, folks, because we’ve got an east to northeasterly wind flow sweeping over the Fiji group – and no, it’s not just the fan from your last beach party! A sneaky trough of low pressure is rolling in from the east, bringing along its entourage of clouds and showers, and it’s set to crash our party starting tomorrow.

In the forecast until midnight tomorrow, we can expect some cloudy moments mixed with a splash of showers and the occasional dramatic thunderstorm – think of them as nature’s way of adding a little flair to your day! The Eastern part of Viti Levu (that’s the Greater Suva/Nausori-Tailevu North area, if you’re taking notes) is going to see more activity, while other regions will be fine but might have a sudden afternoon shower that says, “Surprise!” as it drops in unannounced.

Starting tomorrow, those showers are planning to roll in more frequently, so keep a towel handy – just in case!

As for thunderstorm enthusiasts, keep your eyes peeled! The forecast indicates that localized heavy downpours could lead to some flash flooding in low-lying areas, particularly later in the afternoon or evening. Mother Nature can be a bit dramatic sometimes!

Coming in with the weather show are moderate to fresh east to northeasterly winds, possibly gusty during those heavier rain moments. And if you’re contemplating a nautical adventure, be warned; expect moderate to rough seas.

Now, let’s talk about what Thursday has in store: quite a few more occasional showers and perhaps a few thunderstorm guest stars popping in over Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and a handful of nearby smaller islands like Yasawa and the Mamanucas. Grab your umbrellas—showers are likely to blossom into heavier rains later in the day! Winds will be a moderate accompaniment to the rain, while the seas will keep their moderate mojo.

For Specific Locations:

– **Navua / Suva / Nausori**: Cloudy at times, with some surprise showers and thunderstorms—much like finding a five-dollar bill in an old coat pocket! Expect a high of 32°C, with tomorrow’s minimum flirting around 25°C.

– **Natadradave/Korovou**: Similar vibes are in play with clouds and occasional storms. Today’s high: 32°C and tomorrow’s forecast sticks around the same.

– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast**: Today presents itself all fine and dandy until the afternoon when showers show up for their cameo—maxing out at 34°C. Tomorrow keeps the streak alive at 34°C as well.

– **Nadi / Lautoka / Ba**: Fine and sunny until later when nature joins the saucy afternoon showdown with some thunder and rain. Cap off the day around 34°C!

This also applies to Tavua/Rakiraki, Yasawa/Mamanuca, Labasa, and more—in general, expect fine weather today with some marvelous thunderstorms (the best kind) crashing the afternoon and evening party.

Even for places like Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Taveuni, stay alert! The rain is planning to hit on the frequent side as we barrel into Wednesday.

So, there you have it! Clean up those umbrellas, stock your rain boots, and prepare for shower shenanigans ahead!
