The 2026 Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament will once again be broadcast live on FBC Sports and streamed globally on Viti Plus, following the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Fijian Broadcasting Corporation and the organizing committee of the event. This partnership ensures that the 39th edition of the popular rugby 7s tournament will be accessible to both local and international viewers.
Sitiveni Halofaki, General Manager of FBC TV, expressed his congratulations to the Nawaka Organizing Committee for extending the collaboration, which aims to broaden the tournament’s audience reach. He acknowledged the increasing interest in local rugby content beyond Fiji’s shores, noting that the viewership extends worldwide.
“We have seen that our local sports viewers are not just in Fiji; they are also comprised of a global audience, all of whom will be able to watch the events on Viti Plus,” Halofaki stated. He highlighted that this partnership represents a collective effort to promote grassroots rugby and bring Fiji’s local tournaments to a wider audience.
The Nawaka 7s remains an important event on Fiji’s rugby calendar, garnering enthusiastic community support and attracting competitive teams from all over the nation. As excitement builds for the upcoming tournament, the renewed broadcasting agreement promises to shine a spotlight on the talent and passion inherent in Fiji’s rugby scene.
