Iowane Teba has received the green light to compete in the Perth 7s this weekend, having fully rejoined training with the Fiji Airways Fiji men’s 7s squad. Head coach Osea Kolinisau confirmed that after participating in a week’s scrimmage session, Teba displayed no signs of discomfort following an injury sustained during the Singapore tournament.
“Teba ran again yesterday in a scrimmage session. He’s full-on running 100 percent. Teba is good to go this week, which is good news to us,” Kolinisau stated. He also mentioned that the team is in good health overall, facing minimal injury concerns as they gear up for another challenging leg of the series.
Following last week’s title victory in Singapore, the Fiji men’s 7s team aims to carry this momentum into Perth. The coach conveyed an encouraging message to the fans, urging them to remain supportive. “Keep supporting the boys and keep praying for the boys,” he said.
The Fiji men’s 7s team will kick off their Perth 7s campaign against Argentina at 4.20 p.m., followed by matches against Spain at 7.36 p.m., and concluding their pool games against South Africa at 10.52 p.m. Fans can watch all the action live on FBC TV.
This positive development not only boosts the team’s morale but also enhances Fiji’s hopes as they look to continue their strong performance in the series.
