The Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team secured a commendable third place in the HSBC 7s Series leg held in Cape Town, following their recent triumph in Dubai. Demonstrating their prowess on the field, Fiji defeated Spain with a dominant score of 47-10, marking their second consecutive victory over the same opponents.

The match commenced with Spain’s Jeremy Trevithick scoring the opening try. However, Fiji quickly retaliated with three tries from Joji Nasova, Filipe Sauturaga, and Jeremaia Matana, allowing Fiji to take control before Trevithick added another try for Spain at the end of the first half. In the second half, Fiji continued to assert their dominance with tries from George Bose, Terio Veilawa, and Kavekini Tanivanuakula, while Viwa Naduvalo capped the match with a final score just after the time elapsed.

Despite their third-place finish, the Fiji Men’s 7s team maintains its lead in the series standings, accumulating 36 points, with Spain trailing close behind at 32 points, and France in third with 30 points.
