The Think Before You Click Fiji Police 7s team has shown its dedication to community service by donating $5,000 from their recent prize money at the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s to the Father Law Home in Wailekutu, Lami. This generous contribution, presented by Assistant Superintendent of Police Jaoji Besetimoala, aims to enhance the care provided to the home’s residents, underscoring the Fiji Police Force’s commitment to supporting the elderly.

This charitable initiative is part of the Duavata Community Policing through Sports program, an effort spearheaded by Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu. He has advocated for a portion of winnings from local sporting tournaments to be redirected to assist community and social groups in need. Such measures highlight how sports can serve as a platform for positive social impact, extending the benefits beyond the competition itself.

The Fiji Police 7s team earned a total of $8,000 after a commendable victory against Y-IS Kava Vacalea with a score of 22-5 at Ganilau Park in Savusavu last week. This victory not only brought them financial reward but also an opportunity to give back to the community, reinforcing the vital connection between sports and social responsibility.
