The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua are set to unveil four players making their Super Rugby Pacific debuts in the starting lineup for the opening match of the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season. Temo Mayanavanua, Issak Fines-Leleiwasa, Manasa Mataele, and Virimi Vakatawa will all feature prominently as the Drua look to make a compelling statement against Moana Pasifika.

The lineup showcases a balanced mix of fresh talent and seasoned players. Anchoring the scrum, Haereti Hetet will play at loosehead prop, supported by Zuriel Tongiatama as hooker and Mesake Doge at tighthead. In the lock positions, Isoa Nasilasila partners with debutant Mayanavanua, ensuring a blend of physicality and leadership.

The back row consists of Mesake Vocevoce at blindside flanker, Kitione Salawa on the openside, and Elia Canakaivata in the number eight position. Fines-Leleiwasa will take the reins at scrumhalf, pairing with Kemu Valetini at flyhalf to orchestrate the team’s attacking moves. On the wings, Ponipate Loganimasi and Mataele will bring speed and finishing skills, while in the midfield, the debutant Vakatawa teams up with Tuidraki Samusamuvodre.

Completing the starting XV, Ilaisa Droasese is positioned at fullback. The bench features a combination of experienced players and promising young talent, with newly signed Penaia Cakobau listed as a potential debutant. Peni Ravai and Samuela Tawake are set to reinforce the front row, while lock Joseva Tamani and loose forward Isoa Tuwai bolster the forward cover. Co-captain Frank Lomani will contribute leadership from the reserves, supported by backs Isikeli Rabitu and Epeli Momo.

As the Drua prepare to kick off their Super Rugby Pacific campaign, the inclusion of multiple debutants highlights the depth and promise within the squad.
