Heads up, Fiji! Mother Nature is in a mood, and she’s bringing the heavy rain! Yes, a HEAVY RAIN WARNING is out for the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Viti Levu, Kadavu, and some smaller islands just trying to stay dry.

And let’s not forget—everyone else in Fiji gets a HEAVY RAIN ALERT as well. It’s like a surprise party, but instead of confetti, it’s just buckets of rain!

What’s brewing? An active trough of low pressure is causing a bit of a stir over the islands, while a friendly but determined northerly wind is playing the part of an unwelcome guest.

So, what can you expect before midnight tomorrow? Well, it’s mostly periods of rain, some heavy enough to make your shower look like a drizzle, mixed in with a few thunderstorms. Expect this wet wonder to hit Yasawa, Mamanuca, Viti Levu, Kadavu, and surrounding islands. Meanwhile, everyone else will experience some rain too, heavy at times (thanks for sharing the love!).

Be careful if you’re in a low-lying area; localized heavy falls might lead to flash flooding. Just when you thought it couldn’t get more exciting, moderate to fresh northerly winds and moderate to rough seas join the party!

Friday’s forecast: The rain hits the repeat button—meaning it’ll be heavy at times with a few more thunderstorm guests crashing the festivities over Yasawa, Mamanuca, Viti Levu, Kadavu, and nearby islands. The rain might ease to showers by late afternoon though, which means your laundry might finally get its chance in the sun!

Now, let’s talk about specific areas:

Navua/Suva/Nausori: Get ready for those periods of rain, some heavy, with a few thunderstorm surprises. Same story for Friday!

Sigatoka/Coral Coast: It’s a rain-a-palooza! Expect that heavy rain and those thunderstorms. Showers should ease up by Friday evening.

Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: More rain, heavy at times, flash thunderstorm alerts—sounds fun, right? Friday continues the trend with easing showers.

Tavua/Rakiraki: And the rain keeps coming! Heavy and occasionally stormy, but Friday promises a little relief with just showers.

Natadradave/Korovou, Yasawa/Mamanuca group: What’s that? More rain and a few thunderstorms? Yes, indeed! Friday’s outlook remains wet n’ wild.

Labasa and Savusavu: Occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms sticking around, but hey, they’re kind of buddies now, right? Friday brings more of the same.

Lau/Lomaiviti and Kadavu: More heavy rain ahead! Expect thunderstorms crashing the party too! And some easing to showers by Friday.

Rotuma: Here, it’s a moist breeze and some occasional showers; nothing too crazy, but still keeping you guessing with a few heavy moments and isolated thunderstorms. Friday? More of this roller-coaster weather!

So buckle up, folks! It’s going to be a rainy ride for the next few days, and don’t forget your umbrella—it’s going to be a wet one!
