Darsh Prakash, an 18-year-old student from Jai Narayan College, has been named the dux for the year 2024, and he credits his consistent learning approach, along with the unwavering support from his teachers and peers, for his achievement.

In an interview, Darsh emphasized the importance of having a positive attitude toward learning and being guided by dedicated educators. He began his academic journey in Year Nine in 2020, driven by high expectations from both his parents and teachers. Despite not setting winning the dux award as a specific goal, he acknowledged it as a lingering possibility.

“I wouldn’t say I tried harder than usual for it. I put the same effort into all my exams,” Darsh remarked. As a pure science student, he encountered challenging subjects and stiff competition, but he attributed his success to consistency in his studies and the help of supportive teachers.

Darsh also faced the challenge of a shortened academic year but adapted his schedule effectively, demonstrating good time management skills. “I managed my time better to overcome this challenge,” he noted. Looking back on his accomplishment, he expressed immense gratitude for the contributions of his teachers and friends.

“It feels great to take the top prize home, and I’m thankful for everyone who helped me get here,” he stated. His father, Inesh Prakash, shared his surprise and joy at Darsh’s success, viewing it as a blessing and expressing appreciation for the school’s role in fostering his son’s talents.

With aspirations to pursue a career in medicine, Darsh intends to carry forward the dedication and gratitude that have shaped his educational journey, promising a bright future ahead.

This story serves as a reminder of the power of support and determination in achieving educational goals. With a strong foundation and a clear vision for the future, Darsh Prakash’s journey is inspiring for many young students.
