Philippine Airlines is set to enhance connectivity between Palau and Manila with the launch of a new twice-weekly service starting March 29. This initiative aims to improve international access for residents, tourists, and the Palauan diaspora, effectively strengthening travel links to and from the islands.
The new flights are scheduled and will be available for online bookings, as confirmed by Efren Adrian Llanos from the airline’s Sales Department. This service will link Palau with Philippine Airlines’ extensive global network, which covers over 40 destinations across Asia, the United States, and Europe. Major long-haul airports served by the airline include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Honolulu, and Toronto, alongside regional connections to cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore.
The expanded route will be particularly beneficial for the Palauan community residing in the United States, especially those on the West Coast, as it provides a direct travel option from major U.S. gateway cities to Manila and onward to Palau. With the introduction of these two additional flights, the total number of direct routes between Palau and the Philippines will increase from two to four weekly, complementing the existing service offered by United Airlines.
This development reflects Philippine Airlines’ commitment to enhancing travel options and facilitating greater ease of access to Palau, supporting both tourism and the needs of the Palauan population abroad.
