Netball Fiji has announced that discussions regarding the proposed Pacific Series will continue with Netball New Zealand.
The organization’s president, Ruby Ann Sorovaki, shared that they have requested Netball NZ to consider canceling the series for now, suggesting instead that they focus on scheduling it for a future date. Sorovaki emphasized the importance of proper team preparations and securing potential funding to ensure they meet the series’ expectations effectively.
Originally, Netball New Zealand had put forward the idea of hosting the series in January 2025, replacing the traditional annual series involving England and Australia.
This ongoing dialogue reflects a commitment from both organizations to prioritize the development of netball in the region. By taking the time to carefully plan and secure the necessary resources, they are setting a positive foundation for the future of the sport in the Pacific.
As the situation evolves, fans can look forward to the potential of an exciting and well-prepared series that showcases the talents of netball teams from across the Pacific.
