The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has announced that final asphalting operations on the Rewa Bridge are set to commence overnight, impacting the Nausori-bound lane. The roadworks are scheduled to take place from 8:00 PM this evening until 5:00 AM the following day to finalize remaining project sections.

During this period, both Nausori-bound lanes will be closed between the Lelean Roundabout and the Wainibokasi Roundabout to facilitate the safe operation of construction equipment. However, traffic heading towards Suva will remain unaffected, as the Suva-bound lanes will continue to operate, ensuring the flow of vehicles in that direction.

Motorists in the vicinity are advised to adhere to temporary road signs and follow the instructions of traffic controllers to maintain the safety of both road users and construction workers. The FRA has indicated that the asphalting works are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed if inclement weather arises.

The authority extended its gratitude to the public for their understanding and cooperation during this crucial stage of road enhancement, emphasizing the importance of these upgrades for improved connectivity and safety on the roads.
