Samoa and Tonga have earned their spots to represent Oceania in the upcoming 2025 World Sevens Challenger Series, as confirmed after the thrilling finals of the Oceania Sevens Rugby tournament held in Honiara on Sunday.

Both the men’s and women’s teams from Samoa secured their places in the series, showcasing their competitive spirit and athletic prowess. The Manu Samoa Sevens team triumphed in the men’s final, defeating the Fiji Development team with a tight score of 17-12, ultimately claiming the championship. Meanwhile, the Manusina Sevens, despite a 14-5 loss to Fijiana in the women’s final, also qualified for the series since Fiji is already a core team in the HSBC SVNS Series.

Tonga joined Samoa from the men’s competition, successfully securing their qualification by winning the third place play-off against Tuvalu with a score of 24-19.
