The 2025 Nadi Business House Squash League has launched with vigor at the Nadi Sports and Social Club, featuring six teams from various businesses competing for top honors. Supported by sponsors XL Sports and Jack’s of Fiji, the league has generated significant enthusiasm and community engagement from its inception.
After two rounds of play, McDonald’s leads the standings with an impressive 34 points. Anita Jewellers, closely trailing with 26 points, is in the runner-up position. Punjas, having played only one game thus far, sits comfortably with 15 points. Meanwhile, Jack’s of Fiji and Orion both hold six points, and the Fiji Airways Aviation Academy rounds out the group with three points.
The league’s tournament coordinator, Navneet Nair, has acknowledged the strong backing from both players and sponsors, highlighting the league’s role in uniting the business community through sport.
“This league not only fosters a competitive atmosphere but also strengthens ties within Nadi’s business circles, thanks to continued support from local sponsors,” said Nair.
The competition not only showcases athletic talent among local business houses but also serves as a platform to cultivate camaraderie and networking opportunities among Nadi’s businesses. The league is set to continue, with teams aiming to dethrone McDonald’s from their early top spot on the leaderboard.
As the league progresses, it is expected to mirror the enthusiasm and community spirit seen in other successful tournaments held at the Nadi Sports and Social Club. Past events, such as the Business House Bowls Competition, have also enjoyed robust participation and community interest, showcasing the club’s ability to host engaging and successful sporting events. The continuation of the Nadi Business House Squash League promises to further reinforce the club’s reputation as a hub for lively and spirited local competitions.
