Ahura Resorts has announced the anticipated reopening of its luxurious Likuliku Lagoon Resort, which has undergone a significant $10 million revitalization. The exclusive adults-only resort temporarily closed for upgrades from February 1 to April 30 this year, allowing for a complete transformation of its facilities.

Tony Whitton, the managing director and owner of Ahura Resorts, expressed excitement about welcoming guests back to Likuliku Lagoon Resort and emphasized their dedicated commitment to enhancing guest experience. All 150 full-time employees remained employed during the closure, receiving full pay while supporting operations at the sister resort, Malolo Island Resort.

The renovations reinforce Likuliku Lagoon Resort’s status as a premier destination in Fiji’s tourism landscape. The resort now boasts a new dining concept and an interactive conservation hub, showcasing its commitment to sustainable tourism and community engagement.

Several enhancements include:
– Modernized beachfront bures, with 11 of them now featuring private plunge pools increased the total of deluxe beachfront bures to 29.
– Environmentally-friendly synthetic thatching on the bures to bolster sustainability efforts.
– Upgraded dining facilities, including a makeover for the main restaurant and bars, alongside refurbished public bathrooms.
– High-speed Wi-Fi connectivity supplemented by Starlink Satellite, ensuring guests remain connected.
– A water bottling plant set to commence operations in June, producing both still and sparkling water for the resort.

The introduction of the new restaurant, Saluwaki, promises to provide a unique dining experience rooted in Fijian-inspired Asian tapas while utilizing locally sourced ingredients. The Na Vanua Conservation Hub will offer guests hands-on engagement with local ecosystems and Fijian culture, reinforcing the resort’s role in community care and environmental preservation.

This renovation reflects a broader positive outlook for Fiji’s tourism industry, which is gradually rebounding and offers hope for future growth and success. The Likuliku Lagoon Resort’s commitment to luxury and sustainability demonstrates a focus on delivering enriching experiences to its guests while nurturing the environment and community.

With the resort now revitalized, travelers can eagerly anticipate a thrilling escape to one of Fiji’s most cherished destinations.
