Vodafone Fiji Fashion Week (FJFW) has concluded with remarkable success, amassing over five million engagements across Instagram and Facebook in 2025. Celebrated at the Grand Pacific Hotel, the event was highlighted by FJFW director Ellen Whippy, who praised the overwhelming support from sponsors, volunteers, and the dedicated team behind the scenes.

“This year, we have a special thanks to our volunteers,” Whippy stated, recognizing the significant contribution made by over 40 university students who participated in the week-long fashion showcase. She noted, “FJFW is a platform for designers, models, and those looking to gain event experience.”

FJFW 2025 attracted international attention, featuring vibrant collections that surpassed expectations and showcasing the evolution of Fijian design talent. Just as in previous years, the commitment to cultural storytelling was integral to the event, connecting local traditions with contemporary fashion.

This year, notable highlights included the showcase of works by both emerging and established designers, emphasizing the rich diversity present in the Pacific fashion scene. The international participation brought varied influences, promoting a cross-cultural exchange that enhances the distinctive flavor of Fijian fashion.

As the event wraps up, the enthusiasm and engagement from the international audience signal a hopeful trajectory for Fijian designers, continuously paving the way for wider recognition and opportunities in the global fashion industry. The passion exhibited during FJFW suggests that the future of fashion in Fiji is not only bright but filled with potential for growth and innovation.
