Fiji secured a thrilling 17-12 victory over Great Britain in their pool decider at the Cape Town 7s earlier today, earning a spot in the semifinals where they will face France.

Fiji established a strong foundation with tries from Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Joji Nasova, leading 10-0 at halftime. However, Great Britain fought back in the second half, scoring two tries and a conversion to take a brief lead of 12-10. Just when it seemed Great Britain might seal the game, Terio Tamani emerged from the bench to score a critical try and successfully converted, clinching the victory for Fiji.

In the semifinals, Fiji will clash with France at 12:18 AM, while Spain will compete against South Africa at 11:56 PM. Additionally, Fijiana is set to face Brazil in the 9th place semifinal at 7:22 PM tonight.

This result highlights Fiji’s resilience and determination, showcasing their ability to respond to pressure in pivotal moments. With their sights set on success against France, there is hope that Fiji can continue to build momentum in the tournament.
