Weather Update

Get ready, Fiji! It’s looking like the skies are planning to put on a show today, but it won’t be a sunny beach day for everyone. Expect some cloud cover and those cheeky brief showers in the southeast parts of Viti Levu (think Serua/Namosi, Navua, Suva, all the way to Korovou), as well as parts of Kadavu, the southern spots of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and some of our lovely smaller islands. Those clouds are feeling generous this evening, but fear not! Elsewhere, you might enjoy the fine weather – just don’t forget to bring a sweater for those cool nights!
Winds will be blowing from the south to southeast at a moderate pace, picking up fresh intensity from time to time, much like your cousin at family gatherings. And as for the seas? Well, moderate to rough conditions mean it might be best to save your surfing for another day.
Looking into our crystal ball for Sunday: Guess what? The clouds plan to continue their little parade with brief showers in the same spots as today! But hold onto your umbrellas because the rest of the islands will still enjoy primarily fine weather. Those nighttime temperatures will keep you cool, so bring out your snuggly blankets!
Here’s what to expect in specific areas:
Navua / Suva / Nausori: Cloudy periods with pops of showers. Expect cool nights that make you want to cuddle up with a cup of cocoa.
Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Mainly fine! Just be careful of those random “cool night” vibes that might sneak up on you.
Coral Coast/Sigatoka: Mainly fine again with cool nights – perfect for stargazing or contemplating the mysteries of life!
Tavua/Rakiraki: Mainly fine too, and those cool nights just keep coming.
Natadradave/Korovou: This area gets a mix of some clouds and brief showers. You know the drill – cool nights!
Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Mainly fine and, yes, you guessed it, cool nights.
Labasa: Mainly fine, with those cool nights that invite you to sleep under the stars.
Savusavu: Cloud cover with a few quick showers, but don’t worry—cool nights are still on the agenda.
Lau and Lomaiviti group: Expect clouds and brief showers. They just love the cool nights like everyone else!
Kadavu: Cloudy periods and brief showers make for cozy evenings.
Rotuma: It’s a bit complicated over there as a trough of low pressure rolls in. Expect cloudy periods with some showers and a sprinkle of isolated thunderstorms. Moderate to fresh southeast winds will keep things lively out there, along with moderate to rough seas.
