Fiji Bitter 7s: Dominance and Competition Heat Up as Season Finale Approaches!

The Viti Roofing Devo Babas have solidified their dominance in the men’s series standings of the Fiji Bitter 7s, accumulating a noteworthy total of 1012.30 points after triumphs in several key tournaments including the Fiji Bitter Wairiki, Labasa, Savusavu, and Tabadamu 7s. Their success has been reflected in the latest standings, which list the top 20 teams following 10 legs of the series launched last October in Kadavu.

In the race for the top, the BLK Lavidi Brothers are in second place with 967.03 points, while Wardens Gold trails closely behind in third with 908.97 points. The Police Blue team sits in fourth with 719.71 points, and the TEMC Warriors complete the top five with 693.30 points.

The women’s division is equally fierce, with the Wardens leading with 119.02 points, closely followed by the Blue Gas Lilian White team with 109.28 points. Tagimoucia Ranadi occupies third place with 100.33 points. Notably, the Ezers team, who have performed well in the Labasa and Savusavu legs, holds fourth place with 84.89 points, while Kadavu Stallions and Mount Masada sit in fifth and sixth positions with 78.41 and 31.49 points, respectively.

As the series approaches its final legs, anticipation builds for the upcoming Nawaka and Marist 7s tournaments. The Nawaka 7s is set to take place at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from March 13-15, followed by the Marist 7s at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva from March 21-23.

These events are expected to highlight not only the athletic prowess of the players but also foster community spirit and pride among fans and participants alike.
