The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, is organizing the 2024 Trade Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China in Fiji, scheduled to last for four days.

According to CCPIT Deputy Representative Ma Lei, this exhibition marks the largest economic and trade event in the history of such initiatives, featuring over 30 prominent Chinese companies. Participants include notable firms like China Mobile, China Railway, Huawei, Shacman, Hytera, Great Wall Motors, and Daiqin Energy Storage, among others.

These companies span diverse sectors such as infrastructure construction, general machinery, power equipment, consumer electronics, automotive components, fisheries technology, and agricultural machinery. Ma emphasized that the high-quality products and innovations showcased will not only reflect China’s significant advancements in technology and industrial progress but also serve as a vital opportunity for Fiji and the broader Pacific region to engage with state-of-the-art Chinese technology and goods.

He expressed hope that the exhibition will enhance economic and trade relations and promote technical exchange between Fiji and China, paving the way for future collaborations.

The exhibition is set to commence tomorrow.

In light of this event, there is a strong potential for fostering strategic partnerships between China and Fiji, which could lead to mutual economic growth and development in the Pacific region.
