The Bluewater Boxing promotion is set to take place in February next year, featuring an exciting main event between veteran boxer Joseph Kwadjo and Robin Hazel-man. This announcement was made by promoter Samir Khan, who highlighted that the event will kick off a series of four programs scheduled for next year.

The highly anticipated fight will be held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, with a launch event at Suva’s Holiday Inn at 1 pm on Friday. Promoter Khan also mentioned other boxers participating in the program, including Alifereti Kauyaca, Paulo Ratumaikoro, and Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana, as well as Mohammed Ali and Jese Ravudi.

Khan expressed confidence in their adherence to safety standards, emphasizing that there have been no issues regarding medical provisions, including the availability of ambulances, doctors, and drug tests in previous events. He acknowledged the inherent risks of the sport, stating that boxers are not insured during fights and assured that their health will be closely monitored. Boxers will be required to present medical certificates prior to their participation.

The Bluewater Boxing promotion aims to create opportunities for registered boxers affiliated with boxing clubs. Khan stressed the importance of verification for club managers and coaches, indicating that only those with proper certification will be recognized.

As this event approaches, it brings hope for the local boxing scene, offering a platform for fighters to showcase their skills and compete. With a focus on health and safety, the promotion aims to strengthen the integrity of the sport while providing thrilling entertainment for boxing fans.

The upcoming events not only promise to elevate the sport locally but also serve to foster talent and encourage aspiring boxers in the community.
