Fijian prop Billy Sela has secured his future with Bath Rugby by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2028. The 20-year-old’s re-signing comes shortly after his teammate Kepu Tuipulotu extended his stay, signaling Bath’s commitment to nurturing its young talent.
Sela has made a notable impact since his debut against Leicester Tigers in September 2024, accumulating 14 first-team appearances. He recently achieved a significant milestone by starting in his first Champions Cup match and earned a call-up to England’s squad for the 2026 Six Nations, although he has yet to earn his first cap.
With roots in a proud Fijian and Army heritage, Sela expresses a deep connection to Bath, stating, “From the Academy to the senior team, it’s a privilege to wear the jersey.” His continued presence in the team reflects Bath’s strategy of investing in promising young players.
Head coach Johann van Graan has praised Sela’s development, emphasizing that the young prop’s best performances are still ahead of him, highlighting a hopeful outlook for both the player and the club as they aim for future successes.
