Vodafone launches ‘Video on Demand’ content app

Vodafone Play Launch: A New Era of Digital Entertainment in Fiji!

Vodafone Fiji has officially launched its new ‘Vodafone Play’ app, which provides a substantial library of over 50,000 hours of Video on Demand content, featuring popular English and Hindi films. In addition to movies, the app allows customers to access live broadcasts of Fiji One for daily news and local shows.

During the launch event, Vodafone CEO Elenoa Biukoto announced that this initiative is a significant step towards becoming a quad player in telecommunications. This means integrating broadband Internet access, television content, and telephone services with wireless provisions. Biukoto emphasized that Vodafone Play redefines the digital entertainment experience for Fijians, delivering seamless access to premium movies, TV shows, and exclusive content right at their fingertips.

Biukoto highlighted Vodafone’s commitment to innovation and connectivity, stating that as the Over-the-Top (OTT) market expands, consumer demand for content through personal devices is on the rise. To address this need, Vodafone Play aims to provide exceptional entertainment services, ultimately enhancing the value offered to their customers.

Furthermore, Vodafone has established partnerships with major entertainment companies, including Warner Bros, Sony Liv, Shemaroo Entertainment, and All3 Media International, to enrich the content available on the app. Users can enjoy an initial 20-day free subscription to Vodafone Play, after which a selection of flexible subscription bundles will be available, catering to different user needs—daily, weekly, or monthly.

Multiple payment options are accessible, including mobile credit, M-PAiSA, and an add-to-bill functionality for post-paid users. Depending on their chosen plans, customers can also watch content on various devices simultaneously.

Overall, this launch marks an important advancement in Vodafone Fiji’s service offerings, promising to enhance the entertainment landscape for its users.
