A tragic road accident on Kings Road in Nadaro, Tailevu, led to the death of two individuals and left five others hospitalized. The collision occurred around 7:50 p.m. when a 27-year-old farmer from Nadi, driving towards Korovou with two passengers, lost control of his vehicle. The car veered into the opposite lane, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle driven by a 48-year-old man with three female passengers.
The 27-year-old driver died instantly, while the 48-year-old driver was pronounced dead upon arrival at Nausori Health Center. The two passengers in the first vehicle are in stable condition and are being treated at the Nausori Health Center. Meanwhile, the three female passengers from the second vehicle sustained serious injuries and are under medical care at CWM Hospital.
This gruesome incident is part of a concerning trend of road accidents in Fiji, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
