Hey folks, it’s time for the weather update straight from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi! Buckle up, because February 23, 2025, is shaping up to be a bumpy ride!
First things first, if you’re planning to take a dip in the ocean, brace yourself for some wind that might just blow you back onto the beach! For Rotuma, we’re looking at a strong wind warning – think of it as nature’s way of giving you an unexpected hair dryer treatment. We’ve got northwesterly winds gusting up to 50 km/h on land and a cheeky 20 to 30 knots over water. So, if you’re out at sea, you might just find yourself doing a little fishing while battling the waves.
Expect some rainy antics too, with occasional downpours that might make you feel like you’re in an impromptu water park. Just remember to keep an eye on those low-lying areas; they might want to audition for the next flash flood movie!
As for the rest of Fiji, check out our Special Weather Bulletin regarding Tropical Depression TD09F—it seems to be enjoying the attention a little too much, and after all this chatter, I wouldn’t want to risk giving away too many spoilers!
If you’re in Navua, Suva, or Nausori, or anywhere else really, keep those raincoats handy and don’t leave home without your umbrella!
By Tuesday, prepare for a mix of rain and potential thunderstorms that’ll have you wishing you had invested in some arks instead of umbrellas. So, stay prepared, stay dry, and remember: when life gives you rain, grab your floaties!
