Right now, we have a special weather dance party happening, featuring Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall—yes, you heard it right! This shindig is expected to keep the whole of Viti Levu on its toes for a few days. So, if you were planning on wearing your favorite sandals, you might want to reconsider. Rain boots anyone?
A weak trough of low pressure is lounging over the region with a companion low pressure system that seems to be taking its sweet time moving along. They’ve brought along some clouds and showers to add to the drama, and let’s just say, occasional showers will be guest-starring over the western half of Viti Levu, including the lovely Korolevu to Sigatoka stretch, Momi-Nadi-Ba-Rakiraki, Yasawa, Mamanuca group, Kadavu, and those smaller islands nearby. Elsewhere, the forecast is like a moody teenager: cloudy with some showers and the occasional drama in the form of isolated thunderstorms later in the day.
Now, about those isolated heavy downpours—these could show up, possibly bringing along a chance of flash flooding in low-lying areas. So, if you’re planning on wading through the water, you might want to find a life vest and a good flotation device!
Winds are currently blowing moderate to fresh from the south to southwest, like they’re in a hurry to get somewhere. And keep an eye out at sea, as it’s expected to be moderate to rough—think of it as Mother Nature giving her watercraft a bumpy ride!

For everyone else? Partly cloudy with a sprinkle of afternoon or evening showers and the usual thunderstorm excitement.
