The Lau Provincial Council has revealed its intention to redevelop the Yatu Lau Beachfront in Pacific Harbour into a modern beach club as a key element of its development agenda for 2026. This ambitious project will consist of a three-story building that includes 52 rooms, a swimming pool, a waterpark, a pool bar, and a restaurant, addressing the increasing demand for recreational activities in the Central Division, where many residents currently venture to the Western Division for their vacation needs.
The proposed beach club will be built on 5 acres of land at the Yatu Lau Beachfront, with the redevelopment project projected to cost over $52 million. To support financing for the initiative, the council plans to raise $20 million through shared rights, which will help minimize the overall debt required for the project.
