Nausori Market Stall Fees Get Major Update: What You Need to Know!

The Cabinet has officially approved new fees and charges for market stall rentals at the newly built Nakasi Market, as announced following a meeting in Suva yesterday. This move adds to the updates already implemented in September of last year, which affected market stall fees for Levuka, Rakiraki, and Tavua.

Additionally, the cabinet has sanctioned revisions to Public Service Vehicle (PSV) base fees, as well as charges for user-pay public conveniences and garbage collection services specifically for Rakiraki and Tavua. These adjustments will become operational once the relevant By-laws are published in the official gazette.

This decision reflects a proactive approach by the government to enhance the management of public services and market facilities, ultimately catering to the needs of local communities and promoting sustainable economic growth. As the new Nakasi Market opens, it may serve as a vital hub for local vendors, fostering entrepreneurship and boosting local economies.

In summary, the Cabinet’s recent approvals signal a commitment to improving infrastructure and services, which could benefit both residents and visitors, enhancing the overall marketplace experience.
