While the rugby world has been captivated by the performances of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, national sevens teams, and the upcoming McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s, two Flying Fijians have made significant contributions in English and European rugby.

Kaleveti Ravouvou delivered an outstanding performance for the Bristol Bears during the knockout stages of the Championship Cup, scoring two tries that propelled his team to a convincing 47-28 victory over the Bulls. His efforts not only showcased his individual talent but also highlighted the growing influence of Fijian players in international competitions.

On the other side of the continent, La Rochelle flanker Levani Botia earned the distinction of Man of the Match despite his team’s narrow 25-24 defeat to Leinster. Botia’s performance was marked by his defensive prowess, recording 13 tackles and showcasing his strength in attack with 84 meters gained from carries.

These performances by Ravouvou and Botia not only reflect the skill and determination of Fijian players abroad but also indicate a bright future for Fijian rugby on the world stage. With their impressive displays, they are certainly making a name for themselves and contributing positively to the reputation of Fijian rugby.
