The Suva Zone Two Athletics competition is showcasing intense competition as Marist Brothers High School and Suva Grammar School lead the boys’ and girls’ divisions, respectively. Day two of the event is taking place at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, with participants vying for medals in various athletic disciplines.
Currently, Marist Brothers High School’s boys are in a strong position with an unofficial medal tally of 18 gold, 15 silver, and 17 bronze medals. In second place, Suva Grammar School has claimed nine gold, seven silver, and several bronze medals, while Jai Narayan College stands third with two gold and one bronze medal.
In the girls’ competition, Suva Grammar School is leading with an impressive 13 gold, 11 silver, and 9 bronze medals. Saint Joseph Secondary School is close behind, holding 10 gold, 10 silver, and 11 bronze medals, while Nuku Secondary School has secured two gold and two silver medals.
This year’s athletics competition is not only highlighting the incredible talent of student-athletes but also fostering a spirit of unity and sportsmanship among schools.
