Twelve entrepreneurs successfully completed the Fiji Enterprise Engine (FEE) program in Suva on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone in the journey of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. This event celebrates the sixth cohort of business owners who have participated in this private sector-driven business accelerator initiative.
During the graduation ceremony, the Chief Guest, Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Filimoni Vosarogo, emphasized the dedication, resilience, and passion needed to complete the program. He expressed optimism for these entrepreneurs, highlighting that the opportunities available to them have become endless following their graduation.
Edward Bernard, CEO of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF), commended the MSME owners for their commitment over the six-month course. He noted that the program equipped them with valuable tools and knowledge that would enhance their entrepreneurial skills and accelerate their business ventures.
Mr. Bernard also mentioned that this cohort was the first to pilot the Entrepreneurial Business System in conjunction with Hummingbird for three months, deeming the experience a success. The FEE program has now facilitated the growth of 88 businesses, with the latest graduates contributing to this growing network of entrepreneurs.
As we celebrate the achievements of these business owners, it is apparent that programs like FEE are crucial in fostering a supportive environment for entrepreneurship. The skills and insights gained through such initiatives pave the way for further innovation and economic development in Fiji’s business landscape.
Overall, the graduation of these twelve entrepreneurs is a beacon of hope for aspiring business leaders, signifying that with dedication and the right support, success is within reach.
