Weather Update
Well folks, it looks like a bit of a mixed bag out there today, courtesy of a weak trough of low pressure and a moist northeasterly wind flow that seems to have settled in for a long stay. We’ve got some clouds and showers trying to put on a show across various parts of the scenic Fiji group.
From now until midnight, prepare yourself for cloudy periods accompanied by showers in places like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti island enthusiasts. Most of you elsewhere will get a taste of fine weather, though don’t get too comfortable because afternoon or evening showers are planning a surprise visit. And if thunderstorms decide to join the party over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, make sure you’ve got your raincoat ready – it could get heavy!
The winds will be moderate, probably trying to cool you down while the seas are moderate too – so hopefully, that means no unexpected surf lessons today.
As we peek into Thursday’s crystal ball, expect a repeat performance with cloudy periods and showers in the same areas mentioned earlier. But fear not, for the fine weather will remain elsewhere, though those sneaky afternoon and evening showers are still set to crash the party over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. And don’t forget, the easterly winds will be stepping it up a notch from moderate to fresh, along with some moderately rough seas – perfect conditions for… well, staying off the water if you can help it!

Navua/Suva/Nausori:
Cloudy with a chance of showers and a cozy Min: 22, Max: 30. Tomorrow looks similar – cloudy with a Min: 23, Max: 29.
Sigatoka/Coral Coast:
Just fine with a few afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms. Min: 23, Max: 30. Thursday follows suit: Min: 22, Max: 30.
Nadi/Lautoka/Ba:
Expect a fine day but be ready for those sneaky rain showers. Min: 23, Max: 32. On Thursday, more of the same, but cooler with Max: 31.
Tavua/Rakiraki:
Fine with a side of afternoon thunderstorms. Min: 23, Max: 31. Thursday sees some clouds on the horizon.
Natadradave/Korovou:
Our good old friends, clouds and showers are here. Min: 23, Max: 30. Thursday? Not much changing there!
Yasawa/Mamanuca Group:
Fine out there aside from the occasional rain dance. Min: 22, Max: 32. Thursday looks nice; just don’t forget the afternoon showers.
Labasa:
Fine but keeping an eye out for thunderstorms. Min: 23, Max: 32. Same story for Thursday.
Savusavu:
Cloudier life awaits with showers in between. Min: 23, Max: 30. And repeat for Thursday too!
Nabouwalu:
Cloudy along with a few rain moments. Min: 23, Max: 30. Tomorrow holds the same forecast.
Taveuni:
Weather is a little moody with showers. Min: 22, Max: 30. But fear not, tomorrow is a repeat show.
Lau and Lomaiviti Group:
Clouds will be your companions, bringing showers too. Min: 22, Max: 29. Same story for Thursday.
Kadavu:
Another day for clouds and showers. Min: 22, Max: 29. Predictably cloudy again tomorrow.
Rotuma:
Just a breezy northeasterly wind play, with clouds and brief showers. Min: 24, Max: 32. And Thursday might just deliver more of the same!
