Fiji Sports Commission Boosts Kids’ Cancer Care with Generous Donation

The America Fiji Sports Commission has made a commendable contribution of $5,000 to WOWS Kids Fiji, a charity focused on providing support to children battling cancer. This generous initiative highlights the ongoing commitment of Commission President Narend Narayan, who has been a dedicated advocate for improving the lives of vulnerable children.

Narayan, joined by Vice President Vinay Nair and other board members, formally presented the donation to Rajesh Patel, the President of Fiji FA, following the conclusion of the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup in Lautoka. Patel expressed his gratitude towards Narayan and the commission for their benevolent support.

“Their assistance transcends the realm of football, positively impacting the lives of those in need and embodying the true spirit of this tournament,” Patel stated. He also revealed that Fiji FA will continue its support for WOWS Kids by donating one dollar from every ticket sold during the four days of the Pacific Community Cup event.

With Fiji FA having already contributed over $60,000 in support of social responsibility initiatives, Patel reaffirmed their dedication to fostering change and making a meaningful difference in the community.

This collaboration between sports organizations and charitable trusts serves as an inspiring reminder of the power of community involvement and the potential for sports to make a positive impact on society. It showcases how every effort, no matter the size, can contribute to a larger cause, especially for children who need it the most.
