Fiji Showcase 2023: A Safe Celebration Awaits 100,000 Visitors!

Communications Fiji Limited (CFL) is gearing up for a record attendance at this year’s Fiji Showcase, which opens tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, aiming to attract 100,000 visitors. In a media conference held yesterday, CFL general manager Charles Taylor expressed optimism about surpassing last year’s turnout of 95,000 ticketed entries. He noted the organization’s commitment to creating a safer environment for all attendees, which is particularly important following a tragic incident at last year’s event.

To address safety concerns, particularly those stemming from an accident involving a Ferris wheel, CFL has implemented a robust safety plan for the 2025 showcase. This includes having two ambulances on standby, on-site medical personnel, and trained first aid responders. All amusement rides will undergo thorough inspections by Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) officials, ensuring the well-being of all guests.

Previous reports on the Fiji Showcase highlighted its growing popularity, featuring a diverse lineup of entertainment and various business booths. The event emphasizes family-friendly experiences, with safety as a priority. In addition to the safety measures, the showcase promises an entertaining mix of local and international acts, making it a standout event for the community.

This year’s Fiji Showcase is positioned to not only entertain but to reaffirm the commitment to safety, ensuring that visitors can enjoy the festivities without fear. The hopeful anticipation surrounding this year’s event underlines the resilience and spirit of the Fijian community, inviting all to come and celebrate in a secure and vibrant atmosphere.
