Mesake Nawari, the CEO of Fiji Airports, emphasized that this partnership marks a crucial milestone in supporting the organization’s long-term growth. He highlighted that the move is essential for maintaining the company’s resilience and efficiency in an ever-evolving aviation landscape. The digital transformation aligns with Fiji Airports’ ten-year strategic plan, with an expectation to deliver significant financial benefits and improve service efficiency.

Nawari stated, “Success for us means having a fully integrated set of business systems that support finance, procurement, contracts, HR, operations, and project management, ensuring we access reliable information whenever needed to make better, evidence-based decisions.” He noted the intention to harness technology, including artificial intelligence, to delve deeper into existing data, enabling the executive team to quickly address challenges and make informed decisions.

The digital transformation program aims to transition Fiji Airports towards a modern digital workplace where information is securely captured and managed, and made easily accessible through trusted systems that facilitate decision-making at all organizational levels. The initiative seeks to enhance their data analytics processes, providing a robust digital platform intended to elevate the organization’s performance.

Carlos Garcia, CEO of CG TECH, remarked that the program is structured to instill clarity and confidence amid complex changes. He highlighted their role in assisting leadership teams in making informed decisions, minimizing risks, and adapting confidently to evolving technologies and practices.

Garcia expressed the importance of partnerships focused on communication, enhancing capabilities, and supporting personnel throughout the transformation journey. He further emphasized that large-scale transformations necessitate clear governance, strong decision-making, and a practical delivery model, underlining their commitment to work with Fiji Airports’ leadership in establishing a robust foundation for both immediate needs and long-term aspirations.

This transformative undertaking not only positions Fiji Airports for future growth but also showcases the potential for the aviation sector to leverage technology for enhanced operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities, paving the way for a more resilient and forward-looking organization.
