The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua is quickly shifting its focus away from their opening match in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific, where they suffered a defeat against Moana Pasifika, concluding the game at 40-26 in Lautoka. Fly-half Isikeli Ratibu expressed the team’s disappointment with the season’s start but emphasized the importance of learning from their mistakes to improve in future matches.

Ratibu acknowledged that their performance was not up to expectations but stressed that the team must look ahead rather than dwell on the past. “There were many lessons for us today; there’s a lot of things we could have done better to secure the win. But we will learn from here and move forward,” he stated. He also indicated that the game highlighted several areas where he personally needs to improve, particularly in relation to his playing position.

Looking ahead, the Drua prepares to take on the Waratahs in Sydney this coming Friday at 8:35 PM, an opportunity for the team to bounce back. Fans can catch the action live on FBC Sports. The team remains optimistic and focused on making the necessary adjustments to improve their performance in upcoming matches.
