The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has bid farewell to three players who are set to pursue opportunities abroad. Centre Apisalome Vota, prop Jone Koroiduadua, and second-five Michael Naitokani will not feature in the team’s lineup for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.

Vota and Koroiduadua are original members of the Drua, having made 25 and 20 appearances for the team, respectively. Naitokani, who joined the Drua in 2023, has made 11 appearances during his time with the squad.

Coach Glen Jackson expressed gratitude towards the departing players for their invaluable contributions to the club. He extended his best wishes to them as they embark on their new journeys.

While it is always tough to see key players leave, their decision to take on new challenges overseas reflects the growth and opportunities that rugby provides. This departure paves the way for fresh talent to emerge within the Drua, encouraging a cycle of development and renewal that can strengthen the team in the long run.

In summary, although the departure of these players marks a significant moment for the Fijian Drua, it also offers a chance for new players to shine and contribute to the team’s future successes.
