This Friday, a new titleholder of the Miss Cakaudrove Youth will be crowned at Narain Park in Savusavu, featuring a stunning crown made of 59 pearls. The event, part of the Cakaudrove Multi-Ethnic Youth and Sports Festival, will bring together 14 contestants from 12 different districts, including representatives from Rabi Island and Kailoma.

The opening ceremony kicks off today at 10 AM with a parade from Savusavu Court House to Narain Park, setting the stage for a vibrant four-day program. The grand finale scheduled for Friday will commence at 3 PM, culminating in the crowning events at 7 PM, attended by chief guest Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Aubrey Whippy, the carnival coordinator, expressed gratitude to J Hunter Pearls for their contribution in creating the unique crown and to Shane Bower for donating the crown for the Miss Charity title. The funds raised during this event are allocated for youth development initiatives in the Cakaudrove area, marking the first program organized by the Cakaudrove Youth Provincial Council. Entry to the park is free, inviting the community to partake in the festivities.

This event not only highlights the talents and aspirations of young women in the region but also fosters a sense of community and support for youth development. It is a great opportunity for local youth to showcase their abilities while contributing to a noble cause.
