The Suva Cricket Association (SCA) is proudly marking its 70th anniversary by launching the Twenty20 Super League 2025 in collaboration with Sportsworld and Cricket Fiji. The official sponsorship announcement occurred in Suva, aiming to elevate this tournament’s stature and attract both national and regional cricketing talents.

Vinod Kumar, the general manager of Sportsworld, expressed excitement about their involvement, emphasizing the power of sports to unite communities and inspire individuals. “We believe in the power of sports to inspire and unite people, and we look forward to an electrifying tournament,” he stated.

Sitiveni Rokoro, the chief executive officer of Cricket Fiji, echoed these sentiments by highlighting the partnership’s alignment with their vision to enhance the sport within Fiji. He highlighted that the T20 Super League 2025 will not just showcase local talent but also reaffirm the nation’s passion for cricket.

The SCA, founded in 1955, has been pivotal in cultivating cricket across Fiji, fostering young talent and promoting the sport from grassroots to a professional level. The upcoming league will celebrate this long-standing legacy with exciting matches that reflect Fiji’s vibrant cricketing culture.

Sumanta Rout, the president of SCA, conveyed enthusiasm about commemorating this significant milestone through the tournament. He thanked the Suva City Council for their support in making Albert Park available for the matches.

The competition will feature 12 teams, including Police, Army, Nasaqalau, Moce, CAF Warriors, Cicia, Komo, CF Development, CF Womens, BSP, and Ono-i-Lau, promising a thrilling display of cricketing skill and spirit.

This collaborative effort not only honors a rich history of cricket in Fiji but also inspires future generations to engage with the sport. The T20 Super League 2025 stands as a beacon of community, passion, and athletic excellence.
