The upcoming Bluewater Boxing promotion, set for February next year, will feature a highly anticipated main event between veteran boxer Joseph Kwadjo and Robin Hazelman. Samir Khan, the promoter, confirmed the details to SUNsports, outlining that the fight will take place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, with a launch event scheduled for 1 PM on Friday at the Holiday Inn in Suva.

In addition to the headline bout, the event will showcase several other fighters, including Alifereti Kauyaca, Paulo Ratumaikoro, and Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana. Promoter Khan also mentioned that Mohammed Ali and Jese Ravudi are set to compete, promising an exciting lineup.

Khan emphasized the promotion’s commitment to maintaining safety and regulatory compliance in boxing events, stating that the previous three programs conducted this year were successfully executed without issues. He addressed the absence of insurance for the athletes, noting the inherent risks associated with the sport but guaranteed strict monitoring of the boxers’ health. Medical certificates will be required from the participants to ensure their readiness for competition.

To strengthen the integrity of the boxing events, Khan made clear that only registered boxing club managers or coaches would be allowed to participate, urging the submission of relevant certifications to verify their roles.

This initiative not only demonstrates a commitment to the sport and the safety of its athletes but also signifies a proactive approach to fostering new talent and ensuring that the boxing community operates under stringent guidelines. The event in February promises to be an exciting showcase for both established and emerging fighters, reinforcing the vibrant boxing culture within the region.

In summary, the February event from Bluewater Boxing is shaping up to be a thrilling occasion for boxing fans, highlighting new opportunities for boxers while ensuring their safety and the integrity of the sport.
