Big Boxing Showdown Set for February: Kwadjo vs. Hazel-man!

The upcoming Bluewater Boxing promotion in February next year will feature an exciting match-up between veteran boxer Joseph Kwadjo and Robin Hazel-man as the main event. This was officially announced by promoter Samir Khan during a conversation with SUNsports.

Khan highlighted that the February fight is set to take place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, with the launch planned for 1 PM on Friday at the Holiday Inn in Suva. In addition to Kwadjo and Hazel-man, several other talented boxers will also be participating, including Alifereti Kauyaca, Paulo Ratumaikoro, Ratu Rakuro Daunivavana, Mohammed Ali, and Jese Ravudi.

Khan emphasized that the organization has adhered to all relevant rules and regulations during previous boxing events throughout the year, ensuring the availability of essential services such as ambulances and medical personnel, as well as drug testing. He acknowledged the risks involved in the sport, pointing out that boxers are not insured during these fights. To ensure athletes’ safety, Khan mentioned that they will closely monitor the boxers’ health and require medical certificates from them prior to the bouts.

Khan also expressed a commitment to providing opportunities for registered boxers from boxing clubs. He stated that club managers or coaches need to be properly registered and must present certificates as proof of their qualifications. This measure aims to maintain the integrity of the competition by preventing unqualified individuals from posing as coaches or managers.

Overall, this event promises to be an exciting showcase of boxing talent and serves as a platform for athletes to compete and excel in their sport. The initiative to ensure proper regulations and safety measures is commendable and reflects the organizers’ dedication to promoting boxing responsibly.

In summary, the Bluewater Boxing promotion in February aims not only to deliver thrilling matches but also to uphold the highest standards of safety and integrity in the sport, paving the way for future boxing events.
