The NZFFI Auckland All Stars, the reigning champions, took a moment from their busy schedule during the Pacific Community Cup to visit the Nadi Centre for Special Education. During this visit, the team made a generous cash donation of $1,500 to support the students’ educational needs for the 2025 Back to School stationery, alongside offering soccer balls to enhance the school’s sports programs.
Team Manager Kartik Reddy expressed that the squad previously visited the school during a trip in 2016 and felt it was a valuable opportunity to connect with the students once again and contribute to the local community. He noted that the visit was emotional for the team and encouraged them to appreciate the simple joys of life, reflecting on how often such things can be taken for granted in New Zealand.
Reddy also extended gratitude to the sponsors who made this outreach possible: Rams Group of Companies Ltd, All in One Builders Company Ltd, Hyperchem Pharmacy, ITAX4U, 3DEES Electrical Ltd, and Smart Efficient Security PTE Ltd.
Looking ahead, the NZFFI Auckland All Stars are set to play against the USA All Stars in their second match of the tournament, having already secured three points from a previous victory over Rewa.
This act of kindness not only highlights the commitment of sports teams to give back to the community but also reinforces the importance of empathy and connection, particularly in the world of athletics. By fostering interactions and support with local schools, teams contribute to enriching the lives of students and inspire a culture of gratitude and generosity.
