Fiji Captain Penisoni Tirau earned the Man of the Match accolade after scoring twice against Tahiti in the opening game of the OFC U19 Men’s Championship in Apia, Samoa today.
The 18-year-old Xavier College head boy and Ba football standout maintained his poise and confidence despite missing an earlier penalty, as the Fijians secured a 3-1 victory.
Tirau also expertly led the Junior Bula Boys, putting in extra effort to keep the Tahitian defense engaged and under pressure throughout the match.
