EXTRA Bula FC head coach Stephane Auvray remains determined to ensure his team does not squander its efforts in the OFC Pro League following a challenging 0-2 loss to Vanuatu United FC on Sunday. Auvray expressed his thoughts on the game, highlighting that despite the defeat, his team demonstrated strong defensive skills, conceding only three chances to their opponents while maintaining possession and creating clear scoring opportunities.

“We defend greatly, they only had three chances. We have possession of the ball, we create clear chances,” Auvray remarked. He emphasized that once the team begins to convert those chances into goals, their performance is poised to change significantly.

His observations reflect a pattern in recent matches where Bula FC has come close to securing wins, yet the outcomes have not favored them. “It seems like we always have the same interaction after games. The good news is that it means that we’re dominating every single game, except the one against Solomon (Solomon Kings FC), that we won. But otherwise, the frustration is just because we’re not scoring,” he noted.

Looking ahead, Bula FC is set to face PNG Hekari FC today at 8 PM, and Auvray is hopeful that his players can translate their dominating performances into much-needed goals and victories. With continued effort and patience, the team aims to build on their solid performances and turn their fortunes around in the league.
