Suva FC Eyes Victory Against Navua to Escape Relegation Battle

Flick Hygiene Suva FC is focused on improving their performance and avoiding relegation as they gear up to face Navua in round 15 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League this Sunday. After a recent 3-2 win against Nasinu in round 14, the team is keen to continue their success.

Head coach Babs Khan expressed his confidence in the team’s preparation for the upcoming match. “The preparation throughout the week has been good for the boys, and we’ve been working on a new style of play, focusing on building from the back and controlling possession,” said Khan.

Khan recognized Navua as a strong team, citing their impressive run in the Fiji Fact final. “It will be a challenging match. Navua is a solid side; they played well in the Fiji Fact final and maintained their rhythm, having drawn with Rewa in round 14. However, we will be ready,” he stated.

Despite the challenges, Suva is dedicated to being fully prepared. “We have no injuries in the team; they are fit and ready. Our goal is to move out of relegation and get the Suva team back on track with a winning streak.”

Khan urged Suva’s fans and supporters to rally behind the team by attending the match and cheering them on against Navua.

Additionally, a doubleheader is scheduled at Uprising Sports Centre on Sunday, beginning with Nasinu FC taking on Tailevu Naitasiri at 1 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated match between Navua and Flick Hygiene Suva FC at 3 p.m. Nadi will also host Labasa at Prince Charles Park, with kickoff set for 3 p.m.
