Spread the love

The Fiji Meteorological Services has issued a Heavy Rain Warning for the Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups, the Northern Division, and all of Viti Levu. Additionally, a Heavy Rain Alert has been announced for the rest of Fiji due to an active trough of low pressure that is expected to bring widespread rainfall across the nation.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDRMO) has advised residents about the likelihood of flash flooding and is urging motorists to exercise caution when driving due to potentially hazardous road conditions.

Residents are encouraged to stay vigilant and keep updated through information provided by the Fiji Meteorological Services and the NDRMO. This guidance is essential for ensuring safety during adverse weather conditions.

As Fijians prepare for the possibility of heavy rainfall, staying informed and taking necessary precautions can help mitigate risks associated with flooding and improve overall community resilience.
