RED House is currently leading the medal count at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School inter-house meet, which kicked off with an exciting first day of events at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva yesterday. As the day concluded at 3:20 PM, Red House topped the leaderboard with an impressive tally of 21 gold, 14 silver, and 14 bronze medals.
Following closely in second place is Yellow House, which has amassed 18 gold, 18 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Green House secured the third position with a total of 13 gold, 11 silver, and 11 bronze medals, while Blue House rounds out the standings in fourth, having earned 11 gold, six silver, and four bronze medals.
The competition continues today at the school grounds, where participants will compete in shot-put, discus, and javelin events. This year’s inter-house meet has showcased strong performances in both boys’ and girls’ categories, underscoring the school’s ongoing commitment to excellence as they prepare to defend their title in the girls’ division at the upcoming Fiji Finals. Additionally, there is optimism as they aim for a strong challenge in the boys’ category as well.
