Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Denarau Island has made a significant impact on local communities, contributing over $173,000 in 2025 to various initiatives aimed at enhancing education, health, sports, and environmental awareness. This effort is part of the resort’s Responsible Business program, which aligns with the Radisson Hotel Group’s global commitment to community support.
General Manager Charles Homsy emphasized the importance of staff involvement in these initiatives, stating, “Our Responsible Business initiatives are driven by our people and our connection to the communities we serve, with tremendous support from guests.” He expressed pride in the tangible differences made in health, education, the environment, and youth development during the year.
Key contributions included substantial support for Nadi Hospital, where the resort financed the servicing of air-conditioning units, upgrades to women’s ward washrooms, and the provision of maternity ward furniture and medical equipment. Additionally, the resort has been actively involved in disability support, cancer awareness, kidney health fundraising, and establishing community wellness hubs, thereby ensuring that essential services are accessible to those most in need.
Education was another crucial focus for Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, with generous donations of computers, laptops, projectors, books, furniture, and infrastructure improvements including water projects and walkways. These efforts aim to enhance digital literacy and create safer, more inclusive school environments across kindergartens, primary, and secondary schools in Fiji.
Moreover, the resort has recognized the importance of sports in fostering youth empowerment and building community spirit by sponsoring various local teams in rugby, soccer, cricket, and athletics. This support includes uniform sponsorships, equipment donations, food sponsorships, and hosting events, all of which contribute to nurturing talent and promoting healthier lifestyles while fostering community pride.
