The Year 13 exam results are set to be unveiled today, and the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) is urging students planning to enroll for the 2024 academic year to start registering and applying for Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year as soon as possible. Avinay Kumar, the acting CEO of TSLS, emphasized the importance of early applications due to specific quotas for certain scholarships.

Registration began on December 2, 2024, and applications will remain open until January 31, 2025. Mr. Kumar encouraged students who have already registered to upload their Year 13 examination results along with the final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI). It’s important to note that TSLS will not evaluate applications based on provisional offer letters.

Mr. Kumar highlighted that timely submission of applications is key. Once submitted, applications will be evaluated based on the eligibility criteria. Applicants will receive updates regarding their application status through the email used for registration and can also check their progress on the TSLS Online Application Portal.

Additionally, TSLS advises students to carefully consider job market availability when choosing their academic programs. For more detailed information about eligibility and the various scholarship schemes, interested applicants can consult the 2025 Community Awareness Handbook available on the TSLS website and social media pages.

Overall, this initiative provides an excellent opportunity for students to secure funding for their education, positioning them well for a successful future. With the right preparation and timely action, students can maximize their chances of receiving a scholarship that supports their academic and career aspirations.
