The 38th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s tournament is set to kick off tomorrow in Nadi, featuring an impressive schedule of 96 matches across three venues, including the famous Prince Charles Park. The tournament will commence at 10 AM with an exhilarating opener between the Axellerate Brothers and the Nahehevia Blues. Other key matchups include Vonoyauyau against Korotabu and Nakovacake taking on Korolevu on different grounds.

Jeff Tamata, a member of the tournament committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating that local rugby giants such as Lavidi Brothers, Devo Babas, and Army will be competing. The Nawaka 7s has a distinguished history of promoting grassroots rugby in Fiji, showcasing local talent while also fostering community spirit and engagement.

Originally planned as a two-day affair, the amazing response from participants and fans led the organizers to extend the tournament’s schedule, reflecting its growing popularity. “This year’s Nawaka 7s will bring together all the big names in a celebration of rugby,” noted Tamata.

For those unable to attend, live coverage of the Nawaka 7s will be available exclusively on FBC 2, allowing fans to enjoy the energetic atmosphere of the tournament from home.
