A motion by Independent Member of Parliament, Jone Usamate, to remove $3 million from the Pacific Polytech Institute and $5 million from USP’s outstanding grant in the 2024-2025 national budget was defeated in parliament.
Usamate believes that the short-term programs provided by Polytech have been offered by FNU for ages.
